over 6 years ago – Thu, Nov 30, 2017 at 12:45:28 AM

We're entering the final few hours of the Kickstarter campaign, so now's the time to come on board if you're not already a backer.

We've just unlocked the second pose for the French officer special personnel figure, and the German and British officer second poses are within our grasp!

The countdown begins...

Our final 24 hours – and stretch goal 14 is now unlocked!
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 29, 2017 at 05:01:32 PM

We’ve just entered the final 24 hours of our campaign, so if you’re thinking of coming on board, now is the time to do so!

Within the past couple of hours we’ve unlocked stretch goal 14 – the extra battle dice – which we think is a helpful bonus for our backers to receive. Well done!

We’ve been very pleasantly surprised by the way the campaign has grown – we’ve unlocked 14 stretch goals so far, have over 1,000 backers, and the campaign has created a bit of a buzz on boardgaming forums (thanks for your help with this). This is great news, and bodes well for future expansions for this excellent Richard Borg game.

Once again, thanks to all of our backers for helping us to make this a successful Kickstarter campaign!

Stretch goal 13 unlocked!
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 29, 2017 at 12:54:35 AM

Thanks to everyone who has got behind the campaign or upped their pledge in the past few days. As a result, we've now unlocked stretch goal 13, the Kickstarter exclusive French tank stat card and tokens that will be sent to all backers (whether you order French tanks or not).

Stretch goal 14 - the extra battle dice - is definitely within reach in the last few hours of our campaign!!

Special personnel roll call
over 6 years ago – Tue, Nov 28, 2017 at 10:28:56 PM

There’s been some speculation about how many of each special personnel figure will appear in each army.

You all know there will be 14 French and 18 for both the British and Germans, and we’ve seen a few people speculating on the exact composition. So here’s the official breakdown:

British special personnel roll call

  • 3 x Elite
  • 1 x Engineer
  • 2 x Forward Observer/Spotter
  • 3 x Light Machine Gun
  • 2 x Loader
  • 4 x Marksman
  • 3 x Officer
  • (plus 3 x Bomber in the core game)

German special personnel roll call

  • 3 x Elite
  • 1 x Engineer
  • 2 x Flame-thrower
  • 2 x Forward Observer/Spotter
  • 3 x Light Machine Gun
  • 2 x Loader
  • 2 x Marksman
  • 3 x Officer
  • (plus 3 x Bomber in the core game)

French special personnel roll call

  • 2 x Elite
  • 1 x Engineer
  • 2 x Forward Observer/Spotter
  • 1 x Flame-thrower
  • 2 x Light Machine Gun
  • 1 x Loader
  • 2 x Marksman
  • 3 x Officer
  • (plus 3 x Bomber)

Remember that all of these special personnel figures – except for the British and German Bombers – are part of the French Army expansion, which contains the rules for using them (and details how to add special personnel figures to the scenarios in the core game and Tank expansion).

French Army miniatures preview: 3D prints
over 6 years ago – Tue, Nov 28, 2017 at 12:10:26 AM

Ahead of demoing the game at Essen in October 2017, we got some 3D prints of the French Army minis made for us, and thought you might like to see some photos (we know that not everyone could make it to Essen!).

Because of the way plastic production works, we couldn’t make these figures from the actual material we’ll be using, so these particular 3D prints have been painted in a fetching shade of blue by my own fair hand (and because they've been well used in Essen demo games, you'll see the paint has rubbed and the base colour is showing through on a few minis).

So please don’t mistake them for minis from the actual production run – but we think they’re lovely and wanted to share the photos as a taster of what’s to come.

Can you work out which special personnel are on show in the photos?
